Marbella’s Iron Men

In Marbella this weekend? Why not head out this Sunday to watch hundreds of participants compete in this year’s ‘Ironman race’ along Marbella’s magnificent coastline. The race takes the form of a triathlon, beginning with a 1900m swim in the Mediterranean sea, followed by a 90km cycle through the picturesque mountain-side towns of Monda, Coin and Cartama, before ending with a half-marathon along the Paseo Maritimo. 

With mixed terrain, and temperatures set to soar to 28 degrees centigrade this weekend, the race is set to challenge in more ways than one. The race offers qualifying places for the Ironman world championship which will take place in New Zealand later this year.
